La causa della morte di David Lynch è stata rivelata.
Il direttore di Hollywood di 78 anni è morto il 15 gennaio.
Era stato costretto a fare casa dopo aver sofferto di enfisema seguendo anni di fumo a catena.
Ora il suo certificato di morte ufficiale è stato rilasciato dal Dipartimento della sanità pubblica della contea di Los Angeles.
Il documento mostra che è morto per un arresto cardiaco a causa della malattia polmonare ostruttiva cronica (BPCO).
Le scartoffie confermano anche di essere stato cremato, con i suoi resti sepolti il 22 gennaio al cimitero di Hollywood Forever.
Si ritiene che il visionario regista di Twin Peaks si è deteriorato rapidamente dopo aver dovuto spostarsi dalla sua casa Sunset Boulevard a causa dell’incendio a Los Angeles.
Lo scorso novembre il regista ha rivelato che aveva bisogno di ossigeno extra per la maggior parte delle attività e che poteva “hardly walk across a room.”
Ha detto come “it’s like you’re walking around with a plastic bag around your head.” Ha aggiunto, “I’m homebound whether I like it or not. I can’t go out. And I can only walk a short distance before I’m out of oxygen.”
Ha ricordato come gli piaceva fumare prima di ammalarsi.
“It was part of the art life for me: the tobacco and the smell of it, and lighting things and smoking and going back and sitting back and having a smoke and looking at your work, or thinking about things,” ha detto. “Smoking was something that I absolutely loved, but in the end, it bit me.”
La star è stata sposata quattro volte per tutta la vita. Lascia quattro figli, tra cui la figlia del cinema Jennifer Lynch.
