Zendaya ha acquisito fiducia quando ha iniziato a fare audizioni per ruoli.
In una recente intervista con la rivista W, l’attrice di 28 anni ha rivelato di aver sviluppato un “sense of self” Quando ha iniziato a fare audizioni per ruoli TV e cinematografici.
“I was a shy kid, and I gained confidence and a sense of self when I started to audition,” Zendaya ha detto. “I’d create my own little outfits, do my own hair and makeup. Falling into different characters helped me get out of my shell.”
La star degli sfidanti ha quindi sottolineato che, oltre ad essere una bambina timida, era anche alta.
“Shy and tall,” Ha detto alla pubblicazione. “Not as tall as my mom, though. She’s been six-feet-four since she was 16, so I have nothing to complain about.”
Parlando di ciò che ama della recitazione, Zendaya ha spiegato che le piace essere in grado di lasciare indietro i problemi del suo personaggio.
“A reason why I love my job is it allows me the space to be less self-critical and try things, because I don’t have to deal with the consequences of the character’s actions in real life,” La stella ha affermato. “When I’m Rue (in Euphoria) or when I’m Tashi (in Challengers), for example, I can just be messy, let the instincts come, and not judge myself because I’m not judging them.”
La più grande attrice showman ha anche condiviso che quando cammina di tappeti rossi, interpreta sempre un personaggio.
“That helps. It really does, because it’s an odd thing to get up in front of people and pose in a crazy outfit,” Ha riconosciuto. “For me, if I create a character, it makes it feel less strange.”
La star ha collegato i suoi abiti ai suoi personaggi in passato, come indossare abiti a tema da tennis durante il tour stampa per gli sfidanti.
