Hilary Swank pensa che Hollywood stia diventando “more inclusive”.
L’attrice di 50 anni ha notato un cambiamento riconoscibile nell’atteggiamento nel corso della sua carriera, osservando che l’industria cinematografica “was more patriarchal” Quando era più giovane.
Hilary – che ha fatto il suo debutto cinematografico nel film “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” nel 1992 – ha detto alla rivista Women’s Health: “Thankfully, it’s becoming more inclusive. But when I started, it was more patriarchal than ever. And so I was playing roles that were written by men from what a female point of view is, and it wasn’t necessarily true.”
Hilary è stato effettivamente attratto da personaggi forti e complessi durante la sua carriera.
La star di “Million Dollar Baby” ha detto: “It’s not that I don’t like being feminine – I just don’t like being told how to be feminine.”
Hilary ha anche ammesso di essere piuttosto esigente per i progetti che persegue.
L’attrice ha detto: “I like to be part of projects where you either relate to somebody or you learn from somebody, or you’re just flat-out entertained. And sometimes the best case is when it’s all three.”

L’attrice ha rivelato di essere più richiesto che mai.
Ha condiviso: “Most people might be like, ‘Aren’t you worried that you’re now 50 and there’s not a lot of jobs?’ I’m like, ‘No, I have more offers now than I’ve ever had.’ It’s an incredibly exciting time.”
Nel frattempo, Hilary in precedenza aveva ammesso di dormire in un’auto prima di trovare successo a Hollywood.
L’attrice ha ricordato di aver lasciato il liceo e di aver viaggiato a Los Angeles nella speranza di diventare una star del cinema.
Hilary ha detto al quotidiano del Wall Street Journal: “Mia madre si era recentemente separata da mio padre, quindi siamo andati a Los Angeles da Bellingham, Washington.
“Ho iniziato il processo di irruzione nel business.
“In Los Angeles, my mother and I first lived in her Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme on quiet residential streets. When we weren’t sleeping in the car, we stayed at the house of a new friend my age whose family had just moved out and were trying to sell their home. We slept on an air mattress.”
Hilary ha apprezzato la sfida di trovare successo nel settore televisivo e cinematografico.
