Meghan, duchessa del Sussex ha rivelato di avere un “scary” Esperienza con la preeclampsia postpartum dopo la nascita di uno dei suoi figli.
Nell’episodio di debutto del suo nuovo podcast, Confessions of a Femala, martedì, Meghan e il suo caro amico, il fondatore di Bumble Whitney Wolfe Herd, hanno discusso della loro esperienza condivisa con le gravi condizioni di salute.
“We both had very similar experiences – though we didn’t know each other at the time – with postpartum, and we both had preeclampsia. Postpartum preeclampsia,” Meghan ha detto, riferisce le persone.
“It’s so rare and so scary. And you’re still trying to juggle all of these things, and the world doesn’t know what’s happening quietly. And in the quiet, you’re still trying to show up for people – mostly for your children – but those things are huge medical scares.”
Wolfe Herd ha aggiunto, “I mean life or death, truly.”
La preeclampsia postpartum è una condizione rara e potenzialmente potenzialmente letale caratterizzata da alta pressione sanguigna e livelli in eccesso di proteine nelle urine dopo il parto.
L’ex attrice delle tute, che è sposata con il principe Harry, non ha condiviso se ne ha sofferto a seguito della nascita del figlio di cinque anni, Archie o figlia di tre anni, Lilibet.
Altrove nel podcast, Meghan ha dato un’idea di come equilibra la maternità con le sue varie attività.
“She (Lilibet) only has a half day in preschool. If she wakes up and wants to find me, she knows where to find me, even if my door is closed to the (home) office,” La duchessa ha condiviso. “She’ll be sitting there on my lap during one of these meetings with a grid of all the executives… I wouldn’t have it any other way. I don’t want to miss those moments. I don’t want to miss pickup if I don’t have to. I don’t want to miss drop-off.”
