Lily Allen ha rivelato che ha fatto il provino per un ruolo nell’acclamata serie TV The White Lotus.
Il cantante del sorriso ha rivelato alla sua amica Miquita Oliver sulla loro Miss Me? podcast che è davvero “into acting” Al momento e vuole “put herself out there more” per prenotare più ruoli.
Citando un esempio, la 39enne ha confessato di aver presentato filmati di se stessa leggendo per una parte nel dramma comico di Mike White.
“I haven’t auditioned for anything really. I did do a self-tape for The White Lotus and obviously did not get it,” Lily ha divulgato.
Il hitmaker della paura ha poi ammesso di essere “a bit scared” di presentare auto-tape perché si preoccupava di direttori del casting potenzialmente condividendo la sua audizione con gli altri.
“Maybe now I would do them because I don’t think people give as much of a s**t about me anymore,” Notò Lily. “Back in the day I didn’t like the idea of casting officers having a tape of me in case they would share it with other people. Now I don’t really subscribe to that fear so much, I don’t really care.”
Mentre è conosciuta soprattutto per la sua musica, Lily ha recitato in due spettacoli del West End – 2:22 una storia di fantasmi e il cuscino – e si sta preparando per recitare in una produzione del terzo palcoscenico, un risveglio di Hedda Gabler, a Bath, nel Somerset di questa estate.
Lily, che ha anche recitato nello show televisivo del 2023 Dreamland, ha aggiunto che le piacerebbe recitare in un “nice UK detective series”.
“I do hope that I get more opportunities,” Ha condiviso. “I want to put myself out there a little bit more and be a bit braver with doing self-tapes and going up for auditions and stuff because it is something that I enjoy and it something that I think I have the ability to be good at.”
La terza stagione di White Lotus, con Parker Posey, Jason Isaacs, Walton Goggins e Patrick Schwarzenegger, si conclude domenica.
